    The role

    Job Summary

MilkBox provides cold email infrastructure for B2B companies worldwide. Our campaigns generate a strong volume of inbound replies, and we need someone dedicated to converting them into clients and keeping those clients around for the long run.

Response volume is high and the pace is fast. You'll need to move quickly, handle objections well, and know when to push a conversation forward. When inbound slows, you'll go after new opportunities: prospecting manually in communities, running outbound in channels automated campaigns can't reach, and testing new approaches to keep the pipeline full.

This role covers the full commercial cycle. You'll manage inbound leads, run outbound prospecting, handle sales calls, and stay close to clients after the deal closes. From first reply to long-term retention, the relationship is yours.

We're a small, profitable company competing with much larger players through better infrastructure and better service. Whoever takes this role will be directly responsible for revenue, with the freedom and the expectation to test new channels, refine the process, and shape how commercial operations run here.

    Know your leadership
    Lucas, founder of MilkBox

    Lucas · founder, MilkBox

Lucas is MilkBox's founder and currently runs the commercial side himself.

He's built the company through direct client relationships, hands-on operations, and constant iteration on what actually converts. You'll shadow him on real conversations and real calls before taking the cycle on your own.

Our sales style is direct and educational. We teach the market how cold email infrastructure actually works, and we win by being clearly better and more transparent than the alternatives.

    The work

    Your Responsibilities

Inbound comes in from our campaigns, some opportunities need a manual approach, and every deal needs someone to close it and keep it.

    01

    Lead Conversion & Follow-Up

    • Respond to inbound replies from cold email campaigns: qualify, handle objections, move toward conversion
    • Follow up through email, phone, Loom videos, LinkedIn, or whatever gets the conversation moving
    • Work with our internal tooling. We have workflows that pull context on each lead, build a quick summary, and draft a starting message. What you bring is the judgment: you adapt the draft, decide what to push and what to hold back, and make sure the final message sounds like someone who knows the space
    02

    Outbound Prospecting

    • Find and contact prospects in competitor communities, Slack groups, Reddit, course platforms, and similar spaces
    • Show up consistently in these places: participate, add value, and connect with people who fit our product
    • Write outreach that references specific context ("saw your comment in X about Y") instead of generic templates
    • When inbound slows, generate leads through other channels. Keeping the pipeline full is your responsibility
    03

    Sales & Client Relationships

    • Support sales calls for small to mid-size accounts, focused on what actually fits the client rather than on closing at any cost
    • Be the main point of contact for your clients. Build a relationship strong enough that they don't want to leave
    • Look for upsell opportunities in existing accounts, especially clients still using competitors for things we do better
    • Depending on the account, this role can extend into light Customer Success work: onboarding, check-ins, making sure clients are getting value from the infrastructure. Not every account needs it, but for the ones that do, you'll be the person handling it
    Who fits

    What We're Looking For

If you miss one but are strong on the rest, still apply.

    Fast and responsive

You reply quickly and stay reachable through the day. Response time is one of the biggest differentiators here.

    Self-directed

Most of what you'll do doesn't come with a step-by-step guide; you decide what to try next and adjust as you go.

    Strong communicator

Your messages get read and get replies, whether by email, chat, or over a call.

    Resourceful

You find leads where most people wouldn't look, and you use AI and internal tools to move faster without cutting corners.

    Excellent English

Written English at near-native level, spoken English close to native preferred (minimum fluent). Sales and client relationships live on nuance, tone, and quick thinking, and no tool replaces that.

    Results-focused

You measure your work by deals closed and clients retained, not hours busy.

    Stand Out With

    Cold calling

Cold calling in English is a strong differentiator for anyone able to prospect and sell over the phone at an international level.

    Cold email market

Previous experience with the cold email market and the tools around it.

    B2B SaaS sales

Previous B2B SaaS sales experience, especially in small teams where you had to keep several plates spinning at once.

    Commercial ops

Experience running commercial operations end to end: sales processes, pipeline management, CRMs, keeping the cycle organized.

    Community selling

Experience selling through online communities: Slack groups, Discord servers, Reddit, forums, and similar spaces.

    Ramp-up

    What to Expect

How the role ramps up, from your first week to your first six months.

    First Week

Get up to speed on the product, the market, and how MilkBox operates. Meet the team, meet key clients, and absorb as much context as possible from real conversations and real accounts.

    30–60 Days

Heavy shadowing with the founder: real calls, real inbound threads, real deals in progress. You start taking things on independently as soon as you're ready, and we'll push to get you there quickly.

    Ramp to Independence

You own inbound response, follow-up, outbound prospecting, and smaller accounts on your own. The timeline here is flexible: the faster you pick things up, the faster you take on more.

    After Six Months

Driving revenue independently, expanding into more channels, and taking on larger accounts. Clear path into a senior commercial role as the company scales.

    Process

    Our Selection Process

    Step 1

    Application

Submit your application with a brief introduction, your relevant experience, and why this role interests you.

    Step 2

    Initial Interview

A conversation with our People & Talent team to get to know your background and see if there's mutual fit.

    Step 3

    Interview with the Founder

A conversation with MilkBox's founder about the role in practice: how you think about sales, how you'd handle specific situations, and how you work.

    Step 4

    Practical Assessment

A hands-on exercise based on real situations you'd face at MilkBox: handling leads, writing responses, approaching outbound opportunities.

    Step 5

    Trial Period

We may start at part-time hours (around 20h/week) so both sides can confirm the fit without a big upfront commitment. This isn't a fixed phase: as soon as the fit is clear, we move to full-time. If it isn't a match, we're straightforward about it early on.

    We encourage your application!

If you do not meet 100% of the requirements, we still encourage you to apply. We value mindset and growth potential as much as experience. MilkBox is committed to diversity and inclusion and ensures equal opportunities for all candidates, without discrimination based on race, gender, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law.
